Rated voltage
Common voltage levels: 220V, 380V (low voltage), 10kV, 35kV (high voltage)
Adapt to the voltage fluctuation range of the power grid (such as ±10%).
Rated current
Low voltage meter cabinet: usually 5A~630A (expandable when used with CT).
High voltage meter cabinet: through the secondary side current of the current transformer (CT) (such as 5A or 1A).
Accuracy level
Energy meter accuracy: usually 0.2S level (high voltage), 0.5S level or 1.0 level (low voltage).
Current transformer (CT) and voltage transformer (PT) accuracy: 0.2 level or 0.5 level.
Protection level
Cabinet protection level: usually IP30 (indoor), IP54 (outdoor dustproof and waterproof).
High voltage meter cabinet needs to meet higher protection requirements.
Cabinet size
Low-voltage metering cabinet: Common width is 600mm~1000mm, depth is 400mm~800mm, height is 1800mm~2200mm.
High-voltage metering cabinet: Larger size, customized according to design requirements.
Applicable environment
Temperature range: -10℃~+40℃ (indoor), -25℃~+55℃ (outdoor).
Humidity: ≤95% (no condensation).
Functional characteristics
Energy metering: integrated active/reactive energy meter, supports time-of-day billing (peak, valley and flat).
Data monitoring: can display parameters such as voltage, current, power factor, and power.
Anti-theft design: lead seals, door locks, transformer secondary circuit protection, etc.
Communication function: supports RS485, infrared or wireless communication (such as 4G/NB-IoT) for remote meter reading.
Structural characteristics
Modular design: the meter room, transformer room, and switch room are separated for easy maintenance.
Material: The cabinet body is made of cold-rolled steel plate or stainless steel (outdoor corrosion resistance).
Insulation performance: high-voltage cabinets must meet the power frequency withstand voltage and lightning impulse withstand voltage standards.
Safety characteristics
The high-voltage cabinet is equipped with a grounding switch and a live indicator.
The low-voltage cabinet is equipped with circuit breaker or fuse protection.
Complies with national standards (such as GB/T 7251, DL/T 448).
Scalability
Can integrate fee control function (prepaid electricity meter).
Supports docking with SCADA system or energy management platform.
